About

Cordoba Capital is a UK limited company that works with clients across the UK, Europe, the GCC and Southeast Asia.
Cordoba Capital is based in London and its scholars are located in the UK, the GCC and Malaysia.

Established in 2011

Cordoba Capital was originally set up in the UAE in 2011 as a boutique Islamic finance consulting firm.  It was subsequently acquired by the Rasmala group, a London-headquartered financial services firm that operates across the Middle East, to provide both in-house and external Islamic finance advice and audit services.  In 2017, Cordoba Capital relocated to the UK as an independent corporate finance, Islamic finance and Islamic fintech advisory boutique.

Our Goal

To change the way the Islamic economy does business.  To make ethical Islamic finance the default option for forward thinking financial institutions, family offices and corporations.  To make ethical Islamic finance accessible to everyone, from retail to high net worth clients, from corporates to governments.  To ensure that Islamic finance outperforms and costs the same as its conventional equivalent.

We believe islamic and ethical finance can be a force for good

We passionately believe in financing the real economy, not in creating synthetic financial arrangements to circumvent ethical and Shari'a restrictions.  We don't do "fatwa shopping".  We and our scholars apply the highest standards of governance to all our work.

We are vocal advocates of a cleaner and more transparent global financial system.  We work with industry bodies, academia and the media to highlight areas for improvement in governance and standards, and to secure a better future for the industry and its customers.  We mentor students and lecture at leading public organisations, such as the University of Oxford, the Bank of England and the World Islamic Economic Forum.

We ensure that your transaction is executed not only to the highest commercial standards, but also with impeccable integrity.
